Christie Kinchen is designated broker and co-owner of Twins & Co. Realty, with her twin sister, Jennifer Hibbard. And yes, they are really twins, just 30 seconds apart. Christie & Jennifer are 4th generation real estate agents in Arizona. They opened their boutique firm, Twins & Co. Realty, in 2009 and now have 9 licensed agents within the brokerage.
Christie studied international business at both Arizona State University and University of Arizona. In 1999 she went to real estate school while in Tucson and has been practicing full-time since 2000. She became a broker in 2006. Professional designation include ABR, CDPE, CRS, GRI and SFR. She is most proud of the CRS designation as only 2% of the 2 million + REALTORS in the country have earned this designation. She has been recognized as “30 under 30” for the National Association of REALTORS for 2006 and was top 2% of all agents in ARMLS for sales volume in 2014.
She loves taking on challenging listings. In 2014 she listed a home that had been on the market for 5 years, she sold it in 9 days, and for over 10% more than the original asking price. Christie and Jennifer work in a very specialized niche market of mid-century modern and historic homes.
Christie currently lives in South Scottsdale with her 3 rescue dogs. She has recently had to fight to take back her health after a severe bought with depression and suicide attempts. She now tries to help remove the stigma of mental illness and promote mental health and suicide prevention. If she can help even one person, sharing her story in worth it. Along the way she has discovered a great love for hot yoga and yoga nidra. She was even awarded as “most inspirational yogi” at her yoga studio in 2014.
Christie has also been called the “Anti-REALTOR” because of how different she looks than the average REALTOR (she is covered neck-to-toe in tattoos), how she dresses, the types of homes she sells, and clientele she works with. “Although I’m very heavily tattooed, unless it’s a referral I will be completely covered up so my clients can form an opinion of me based on my skills, versus forming an opinion based on the negative connotations of a tattooed woman. My tattoos don’t make me any less of a talented agent. ” Christie also lives by the motto “women should empower other women!”
